WE ARE ALL MULTITUdES

I’m an architect, builder, writer, wife, partner, mother, daughter, friend, collaborator, artist – the list goes on. Like all of us, I exist and express myself in multitudes. Several projects in development are below. They are all experiments in progress 🌀.

SHIFTING THE NARRATIVE

My day job involves running a construction company in New York City. As a builder, I have the power to hire hundreds of New Yorkers whose labor, skills, and care make our built environment possible.

In 2020, I wrote my graduate thesis on the intersection of organizational change and social movements – how the systemic changes that movements agitate for can happen through changes in our workplaces. This project puts those ideas into practice.

Those of us who work in architecture, design, and construction have a say in how the public consumes our work. Can we shift our gaze, lens, and words to include the people whose labor makes our work possible?

What narratives emerge when we do this?

I’m exploring this with collaborators through writing, photography, and video. The beginning of this effort is how my company shows its work to the public. This is a vast project and will span my lifetime.

Will you join me in shifting the narrative?

ROUGH AROUND THE EDGES

Women belong in the field. A photo essay and exhibition that examines what it means to be seen.

In progress with two collaborators and friends. Launching to the public in mid-2025.

BAD WORDS, GOOD BUILDINGS

Two smart women shoot the shit about the design and construction industry, a podcast. With Leah Solk of Solk Architecture. In development, follow us on IG for updates.

VERY SHORT STORIES

In 2024 I remembered that I am a writer. Let’s call it a return to a calling that I had denied for a decade.

I’ve written some very short stories, some fictional, some not. They’re all quick, loose experiments in exploring my writing self, and our shared emotional terrains.

Longer form writing is beginning to emerge.

Select stories on my Instagram and here soon.

THE BUILDING

A project that will take shape over several years. A shared dream with a serendipitous friend, and one that celebrates us coming together, face to face, body to body, to discover what might emerge.
